Earning team evaluation points:

  • Fill out the team evaluation by 10 PM on the day that it is due to earn full credit (1/2 point).
  • Team evaluations filled out by the beginning of the next class will earn half credit (1/4 point).
  • Team evaluations filled out later than this will earn no credit.
  • Indicate your contribution (0 is worst, 10 is best), your teammates contribution (0 is worst, 10 is best) and the overall team function (0 is worst, 10 is best).
  • For example:
    • You worked hard, your teammate worked hard, and both of you worked together to solve problems: (9, 10, 10);
    • You did not have time to focus on the class, your teammate worked hard, and you worked together on problems: (5, 9, 8);
    • You worked hard, you teammate did not have time to work out of class, but provided helpful suggestions so you both could solve problems: (9, 4, 8).
    • Neither of you were able to do much out of class, but you were able to solve problems working together: (4, 5, 9);
    • You both worked hard, but you did not interact very much in solving problems: (9, 9, 3).
  • Your grade only depends on filling out the evaluation, not the values that you put down, and your teammate will not see your evaluation, so please be honest in your assessment.
  • If the team evaluations, or our observations in class, suggest that the two team members cannot work well together, we may need to intervene.
  • We will meet with members of the team separately, and then together, to see if the problems can be resolved.
  • Under rare circumstances, we may re-assign students to different teams.
